KAFU Innovators Showcase Five Innovative Projects at I-RISE 2026

Bringing Kaimosi Innovation to the Capital

Kaimosi Friends University (KAFU) proudly participated in the inaugural Interuniversity Research, Innovation and Student Expo (I-RISE 2026), held on the 8th and 9th of October 2026.

Hosted at The Co-operative University of Kenya in Karen, Nairobi, the Expo served as a dynamic gathering point for students, esteemed researchers, industry professionals, and innovation stakeholders from various institutions across the country.

Bridging the Gap: From Classroom to Real-World Impact

Through the School of Computing and Information Technology (SCIT) and the KAFU Innovation and Incubation Hub (iiHub), the University was brilliantly represented by a delegation of 14 student innovators.

These students stepped onto the national stage to showcase five distinct and innovative projects. Their presentations were a powerful demonstration of their creativity, technical capabilities, and deep commitment to developing tangible solutions to real-world challenges.

The I-RISE Expo provided an invaluable platform for our innovators. Beyond just showcasing emerging technologies, the event was a hub for exchanging ideas, seeking mentorship, and building critical networking links with industry leaders and peers from other universities.
