Welcome Message

“Innovation is not a privilege of the few — it is the right of every mind with the courage to imagine and the will to build.”

Welcome to the KAFU Innovation and Incubation Hub (iiHub) — a space born out of a conviction that great ideas deserve more than just encouragement. They deserve infrastructure, mentorship, and an unwavering institutional commitment to seeing them through.

KAFU iiHub was established to answer a question that has long confronted universities in the region: how do we ensure that the talent, creativity, and research capacity within our institutions translates into real-world impact? The answer, we believe, lies in building purposeful ecosystems — not just classrooms.

Situated within the School of Computing and Information Technology at Kaimosi Friends University, the Hub is uniquely positioned to bridge the world of academic inquiry with the demands of industry. Rooted in the Quaker values of integrity, community, and service, everything we do at KAFU iiHub is guided by a commitment to ethical, practical, and community-centred innovation.

To our students: you are the reason this Hub exists. Whether you carry a half-formed idea, a research project looking for commercialisation, or simply a hunger to build — step forward. The doors of KAFU iiHub are open to you. To our industry partners and collaborators: we are eager to work with you in building the next generation of Kenya's digital workforce and creating solutions that matter.

The future of innovation in Western Kenya is being written right here. I invite you to be part of that story.
