Last year, a brilliant team of students from the KAFU School of Computing and Information Technology (SCIT) traveled to Strathmore University for the highly competitive 2025 Oracle Green Tech Hackathon.

They didn't just participate; they made a statement. Their innovative approach to solving real-world problems put Kaimosi Friends University firmly on the national tech map. That visibility sparked conversations, proving to industry leaders that KAFU is a hub of untapped technological talent.

Because of that success, we caught the attention of STEMpower, leading directly to one of our most exciting milestones yet: The STEMpower–IBM Digital Skills Program.

A Flagship Industry Training Initiative

The KAFU Innovation & Incubation Hub (iiHub) is thrilled to announce this new partnership. Through IBM SkillsBuild, we are bringing world-class digital education directly to Kaimosi, Kenya—completely free of charge.
